1. Pure Paw's pins are a single molded pins with a brass center and nickel coating. The brass center adds strength and durability to the pins so that the they do not bend easily. The nickel coating works twofold: (a) the nickel coating eliminates static electricity (b) The nickel coating also allows for better heat dissipation than stainless steel or brass. Ex: water releases energy faster than oil, this is why hot frying pan oil burns worse than hot water.
   
   
2. The Pins are designed so that they will not push through the pad. This unique design that has both a top and bottom stopper so that the pins are secured into place and will not tear through a common material backing that most brushes use as a sole form of support on the pins.
