Screen Room Set-Up Instructions
1. OK, ready? Take your screenroom out of the carry bag and remove the manufacturer's fabric ties which hold the tent fabric together. Do not take the black velcro strap off just yet.
2. Now, hold the screenroom with the folded 'legs" facing upwards, the velcro strap should be on the upper part of the tent in this position. Now take the strap off.
3. Lay the tent down on the ground so that the center disc in the middle of the tent and the legs are projected outward in a star-like shape. You may want to shake the tent out gently to get the fabric in position.
4. You'll notice that the four legs of the tent each have two joints, one on top and one on the bottom. Take one of the legs, straighten it out and pop the top joint ONLY. Go around the tent popping only the top joints (just to be clear: by top joint we mean the joints closer to the center disc). To close the caps straighten each leg by bending it inwards slightly, pull down on the ribbed cap and then let it spring back over the joint. By the time you get to the fourth joint, you will need to push inward with the leg of the tent toward the center disc to get that joint closed (this is the "trick"). To be clearer: physically hold onto the leg of the tent and lean inward toward the center, allowing the legs on the other side of the tent to push against you, thereby raising the center disc upwards. As you do this, the tent takes shape and stands on its own. Actually, the tent will appear to be "kneeling."
5. Once the tent is kneeling, the rest is a cinch!
6. You go around the tent again, this time setting up the bottom joints.
7. At each corner. You may want to lift a leg and reposition it slightly to give the tent a better shape (before you stake it down into position).
8. And voila, your tent is standing!
9. Roll up your doors or set up the awnings and you are ready to go walk your course in no time flat!
Just a note: before putting your tent away in its bag, be sure that all doors and flaps are zippered shut. This will make it easier to set up your tent the next time around!
